AUTHORISED DISTRIBUTOR REQUIREMENTS
The APG Authorised Distributor program has been designed for Australia’s leading independent automotive trade suppliers. Those who are committed to servicing workshops, auto electricians, and radiator specialists with expert knowledge, quality products, and great service.
APG will support its distributors through business value creation by supplying market leading products, margin generation and proactive marketing programs, which drive sales through you and your workshop customers.
Each distributor agrees to carry a minimum stock holding, will have its own delivery vehicles which provide an efficient service for local workshop customers and ideally a showroom where APG products and associated marketing material are prominently displayed.
To drive sales APG Authorised Distributors will engage workshop customers to sign up to the APG Authorised Workshop Program for supported APG product categories which include a range of Mechanical, Electrical, Cooling and Body Parts.
Dedicated local account managers and customer support – Your APG account manager will have a focused priority on growing your business. This is supported with an initial higher call cycle and a local state-based phone Parts Interpreter team.
APGiQ – Online Customer Portal enables efficient order placement and processing through 24hr online stock enquiry and ordering, using VIN search functionality. Simple account management with all your activity history in one platform.
APG Connect – Live, online delivery tracking and notification platform.
APG’s No Fuss Warranty – Only available on selected products.
APG product training and ongoing support – APG Account Managers will conduct introductory product category training with all staff. New staff or new product updates to be conducted as required.
Inclusion in APG industry/consumer promotions for supported category – No additional requirements to fulfill to be included in any APG major industry (workshop) focused or end-user consumer focused promotional campaigns for the product category the Distributor supports in this partner program.
Access to product images and data for website uploading – Images and product data supplied for supported product category. Subject to signing APG’s IP agreement. Distributor to bear costs associated with upload to website, or redemption of JMF value.
Business listing with click-to-call on affiliate brand websites – Distributor/workshop contact details listed with active “Call Now” button, location map and “Get Directions” button for Google Maps.
APG account manager assisted sign-up for affiliate workshops and continual support – Your local APG Account Manager (individually or coaching your staff) will allocate time to assist with the identification and ‘sign-up’ process for product category suitable Authorised Workshop locations. Regular follow-up contact will then be implemented.
Stock exchange guarantee – The distributor can exchange APG slow moving product in their supported category for product of equal or greater value, within the below tier clauses.
- Essential: Product originally purchased as a part of a stock order (> 20 units on a single invoice), can be exchanged between 365 and 395 days after originally invoiced.
- Superior: Product originally purchased as a part of a stock order (> 20 units on a single invoice), can be exchanged between 180 and 210 days after originally invoiced.
- Ultimate: Product from any size order, can be exchanged between 180 and 365 days after originally invoiced.
Promotional signage and marketing collateral – Internal and external program and brand signage will be supplied based on participation tier. Initial brand and distributor specific awareness flyers will be supplied. Showroom product displays are encouraged and cost participation assessed individually.
Free supported category merchandise pack – Participation tier determines the quantity of merchandise received.
First access to product type range extensions – The opportunity to purchase first when APG introduce a new line in an existing product type range. Eg radiator for latest vehicle model released.
New Product range introductory offers – The opportunity to receive an introductory purchase offer on selected product types entirely new to APG’s product portfolio. Offers will only be extended to Distributors who support that
APG design and build Distributor version of supported product Category Website – Redemption costs to vary based on design, functionality, and collateral collection requirements. Ongoing maintenance and hosting are not included in the initial redemption. These as ongoing services can be quoted.
Access to APG Match Fit customer training program – Depending on tier participation, as modules are developed, your business will have access to APG business systems and staff professional development training platform.
Branded embroidery on staff shirts – Supported product brands embroidered on Distributors
staff t-shirts. All participation tiers redeem for workshop staff.
In-depth ‘How to sell to workshops’ training – APG Account Managers will coach relevant staff members on all aspects related to securing Authorised Workshop affiliates. (identification, approach, product and program features and benefits, securing, follow up)
Contribute to carbon offset programs – Either combine your contribution with an APG program or nominate your own choice.
